Authentic8 is looking for an onsite IT Desktop Support Technician to participate in all facets of IT end user support responsibilities for a growing company. The IT Desktop Support Technician is an IT essential worker who provides in-person support to staff at our offices, as well as support for our remote workers. Your role is to operate the company’s IT endpoint management systems and services, provision and maintain company endpoints & assets, and generally help employees stay productive as they utilize IT systems & services in each of our offices. Your customer service skills are just as important as your technical skills. A successful candidate will also possess a strong desire to learn new technologies and grow their role and career.
Responsibilities:
- Endpoint provisioning and management including: Apple, Microsoft, and Linux laptop OSes, iOS, ChromeOS, and Android mobile OSes, Apple for Business services, Microsoft endpoint management services, SAML IdP and SAML SP integrations, MFA, Apple endpoint management services, Authentication integration with cloud services and various 3rd party systems
- Administer and maintain the following IT endpoint management services: Building and publishing Windows installers for use with MEM and building and publishing Apple installers for use with Jamf
- Manage in-office printing, scanning, & faxing services
- Manage backups of endpoints and assist with administration of backup servers & services
- Assist with administration and maintenance of corporate IT managed business systems and services (e.g., MS Office, Google Workspace, Salesforce, et al)
- Assist with maintaining corporate Wi-Fi access and services for endpoints
- Assist with maintaining corporate LAN and edge network devices
- Assist with management of vendor relationships: ISPs, Mobile Plans, Apple, CDW, Microsoft, et al.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Microsoft Windows and Mac OSX endpoint management
- 3+ years with virtualization platforms (VMWare or Citrix)
- 3+ years of helpdesk or similar customer service oriented role
- 2+ years supporting enterprise networks (Wi-Fi, Firewalls, VPN, and corporate LANs)
- 2+ years managing cloud-based applications
- Minimum associates degree or equivalent in IT, Information Security, or equivalent technical discipline
- Must be able to work from both DC and Herndon offices (4-5 days a week)
- Communicate effectively with both highly technical and non-technical users
- Ability to write clear documentation for IT systems, processes, procedures, et al.
- Light office management
- Participate in IT portion of employee onboarding activities for new hires
Highly Desired:
- BS in IT, Information Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
- Experience with SSO & SAML authentication
- Experience with Powershell or other scripting language
- Experience with enterprise networks as they pertain to endpoints
- Background in InfoSec
Salary Range
- $75,000 - $85,000 + Bonus & Equity
