We’re looking for a contract photo retoucher to support our in-house photographer by perfecting digital images to meet specific requirements and quality standards for our marketing materials. Your primary focus will be on retouching photographs to improve their overall quality, appearance, and visual impact. This role requires a keen eye for detail, organized communication skills, and proficiency in industry-standard photo editing software.

As a contract photo retoucher, organization and professionalism are just as important as attention to detail. If you are a team player who can meet deadlines and who enjoys working on a long pipeline of photo production, we want you as our Contract Photo Retoucher.

The Job:

Image Retouching:

  • Employ advanced retouching techniques to enhance the overall quality of digital images.
  • Correct imperfections, blemishes, and lighting issues to achieve a polished and professional look.
  • Ensure that the final images meet the client's specifications and adhere to established brand guidelines.
  • Produce product silhouettes.

Color Correction:

  • Adjust color balance, saturation, and contrast to achieve the desired tone and mood.
  • Match colors consistently across a series of images or maintain a cohesive color palette as per client requirements.

Detail Enhancement:

  • Sharpen and enhance image details to ensure clarity and visual appeal.
  • Work on specific areas such as dust, product blemishes, textural clean up.

Composite Editing:

  • Merge and manipulate multiple images to create seamless composites.
  • Ensure that composite images appear natural and cohesive.

Workflow Management:

  • Efficiently manage and organize a high volume of images within specified timelines.
  • Collaborate with clients, photographers, and other team members to understand project requirements.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough quality checks on edited images to ensure they meet the highest standards.
  • Address client feedback and make necessary revisions as required.

You:

  • Proficiency in industry-standard photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
  • Strong understanding of color theory, composition, and photography principles.
  • Proven experience as a photo retoucher with a portfolio showcasing before-and-after samples.
  • Experience in working with product photography
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Responsive to feedback and open to collaboration.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to enhance images while maintaining a natural and realistic appearance.
