About the Role
Our Enterprise Data Analytics function is the strategic engine that fuels data-driven decision-making across the entire organization. We move beyond simply making data visible to defining what data matters and how it is used to achieve critical business outcomes, strategic alignment, and operational excellence globally. The Director will lead the global strategy for analytics, ensuring data insights drive impactful results for all business units, particularly within the fast-paced SaaS and Cybersecurity landscape.
Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, this role will leverage their significant experience in business operations, software engineering, vendor management and integration and exceptional team building to generate an execution machine. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of business operations and processes along with SaaS product development and integration needs in order to create a technology strategy that underpins JumpCloud’s data products, PLG, SLP and Partner sales motions, customer lifecycle and G&A motions.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define and Champion the Global Data Strategy: Own, develop, and execute the 3-5 year roadmap for Enterprise Data Analytics, ensuring alignment with the overall company and product strategy.
  • This includes identifying key opportunities for leveraging data to drive revenue, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Executive Stakeholder Management & Influence: Act as the primary strategic partner to C-level executives (CFO, COO, CTO, CMO) and senior leadership across Engineering and GTM.
  • Proactively present complex data narratives and actionable insights that drive significant organizational investment and policy change.
  • Lead and Scale the Analytics Function: Provide inspirational leadership and mentorship to the Manager-level reports and the broader team. Be accountable for the organizational structure, talent development, succession planning, and performance management of the entire data analytics domain.
  • Drive Data Governance and Quality: Establish and enforce global data governance policies, quality standards, and compliance frameworks relevant to a SaaS organization (e.g., security, privacy, international standards). Be the ultimate owner of data integrity and reliability across the enterprise.
  • Operational and Financial Oversight: Own and manage the departmental budget, technology stack investments (e.g., tools, platforms, data infrastructure), and vendor relationships. Ensure maximum ROI on all data-related initiatives.
  • Accelerate Organizational Efficiency: Systematically identify, prioritize, and eliminate enterprise-level data silos and highly inefficient systems/processes across departments (Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, etc.), using data insight to compel necessary transformation.
  • Cultivate a Data-Driven Culture: Champion the adoption of analytics best practices and data literacy across all functions. Shift the organization's mindset from reporting what happened to predicting what will happen and prescribing action.

  • Strategic Visionary and Transformation Agent: A proven leader who can look beyond the immediate data request to define the foundational capabilities needed for future success. Must demonstrate the ability to drive large-scale, enterprise-wide change initiatives through data.
  • Master of Cross-Organizational Influence: Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong, transparent relationships with senior leaders, using data and influence to drive outcomes in highly matrixed environments, especially across international geographies (EMEA/APAC).
  • High Accountability and Ownership: Holds ultimate accountability for the success and failure of the Enterprise Data Analytics function. Exemplifies ownership, transparency, and a high bar for team performance and ethical data usage.
  • Servant Leadership Philosophy: Dedicated to the success and career growth of direct and extended team members while balancing strategic objectives. Values humility and shared success while demonstrating decisiveness when accountability is required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive Domain Expertise: Deep, comprehensive knowledge of enterprise data analytics, Visualization , data warehousing, BI strategy, and predictive modeling within a high-growth SaaS or technology environment.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading a functional domain or department, including managing Managers and being fully accountable for resource allocation, strategy, and personnel decisions.
  • Strategic Financial Impact: Demonstrated experience in departmental budgeting, leading significant strategic planning efforts, and driving procedural/technological change that has measurable financial and operational impact.
  • Education and Experience: Typically requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics) and at least 10+ years of progressive experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a senior leadership or Director-level capacity.
