The FP&A team acts as a strategic compass, guiding Mapbox towards its goals by translating financial and operational data into actionable insights, fostering collaboration across departments, and continuously adapting our approach to navigate market shifts. We are not just number crunchers, but business partners driving informed decision-making and optimizing performance for long-term success.

What You'll Do

  • Own the top-line

  • Track and report on Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and Usage Revenue on a weekly and monthly basis

  • Develop and maintain models for revenue, cash collections, and ARR forecasting

  • Collaborate with Revenue Operations to conduct win/loss analysis and identify trends and areas for improvement

  • Partner with Analytics and Revenue Operations to automate periodic reporting to create efficiencies

  • Project and monitor both short and long term cash collections

  • Partner with Accounting to develop more granular GAAP revenue reporting within the ERP system

  • Prepare and present key KPI/metric reports to Executives

  • Gain comprehensive experience in various aspects of financial planning and analysis, supporting broader company objectives

  • Create and own the GTM P&L and Capacity model

What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role

  • 3-5+ years of experience in strategic financial planning, investment banking, or consulting

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to leadership

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly with Revenue Operations, Accounting, and Analytics

  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a focus on improving processes and outcomes

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

  • Experience in the tech industry or in a company with a subscription-based business model

  • Familiarity with key SaaS metrics such as ARR, retention rates, and churn

  • Experience in preparing and presenting financial scorecards and reports to senior leadership

  • Proven track record in financial forecasting and cash flow management

  • Calm under pressure and able to enjoy the uncertainty and ever-changing nature of a high-growth company

Our annual base compensation for this role ranges from $123,675 - $167,325 for most US locations and 5% to 10% higher for US locations with a higher cost of labor. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location.
