We’re looking for a phenomenal REVENUE CYCLE MANAGER to join our FINANCE team.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL FOCUS ON:

The Revenue Cycle Manager will support the finance team with administrative tasks associated with claims processing, payment and revenue generation and supporting tasks. As a part of the finance team the Revenue Cycle Manager will be responsible for submitting transactions, invoices and supportive tasks. As well as analyzing data on denials, underpaid and rejected claims. The Revenue Cycle Manager will be responsible for connecting with payer customers to discuss and problem solve denied-, underpaid and rejected claims.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL ACHIEVE:

  1. Manage the administrative and clinical functions associated with claims processing, payment and revenue generation
    1. Managing the administrative and clinical functions associated with claims processing, payment and revenue generation
    2. Analyzing data on denials, underpaid and rejected claims. Creating reports to identify trends and lost revenue.
    3. Understanding payer requirements to improve Day Sales Outstanding
    4. Implementing strategies to minimize losses
    5. Support the smooth operation of the finance department, through ad hoc tasks related to invoicing across various vendors

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  1. Skills needed:
    • Technical skills
      1. Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR), billing software, payment processing software and customer relationship management software
      2. Proficient in the use of excel / google sheets for data analyzing and identifying trends
    • Problem-solving skills
      1. Identifying, analyzing and resolving issues that arise in the RCM process, such as billing errors, claim denials, payment delays, or customer satisfaction
      2. Ability to escalate complex and sensitive issues to the appropriate supervisors or departments, and follow-up until resolution is reached.
    • Teamwork skills
      1. Teamwork skills are essential for creating a positive and productive work environment
      2. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, third party administrators and customers
      3. Ability to share information, feedback and best practices to support on resolution reaching goals and objectives of the RCM process.

  2. Work experience needed:
    • Revenue cycle consulting experience
    • 3-5 years of claims processing experience in large private health care organization
    • Experience in project management
    • Track record in growing revenue streams
    • Experience working in or with health plans preferred

  3. Knowledge, education, and/or training needed:
    • Proficiency in Excel, MS-office and Google Sheets
    • Knowledge of US private health care and claims processing
    • Good communication skills

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

  1. Improve overall efficiency of RCM process and claims cycle
  2. Improving the Avg DSO from 85 days to 65
  3. Bridge the finance team with Care Coordination, Customer Success Manager and end customer
  4. Facilitate future system changes and improvements as they occur based on company’s growth

US TOTAL REWARDS PACKAGE:

  • Compensation: $104,000 - $125,750

  • Benefits:
    • 100% employer paid Medical, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance for full-time employees (50% for dependents)
    • Flexible Spending Account and Health Savings Account options available (HSA eligible employees will receive Meru's annual contributions of $1,500 for single enrollees and $3,000 for enrollees with dependents)

  • Paid Time Off:
    • 15 US holidays annually
    • 20 days of vacation your first year of employment, then 25 days of vacation thereafter
    • 8 weeks of parental leave for all new parents and an additional 8 weeks for new birthing parents
    • Up to 4 weeks off to grieve a family member's passing
    • Birthday off
    • Day of Service to participate in any activities that elevate marginalized communities

    • $250 Onboarding Home Office stipend
    • Work from San Mateo, CA Office 3 days per week
