The Role

We are seeking a Compensation & HR Operations Lead to join our People team. This is a critical individual contributor role with the potential to manage one or two direct reports. In this position, you will lead the development, implementation, and management of our compensation programs, while also overseeing key HR operations. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our business goals, and that our HR operations are streamlined and effective.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Compensation Strategy & Design: Design, develop, and manage Pantheon’s compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, and long-term incentives.
  • HR & Compensation Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations for both compensation and HR, including job leveling, salary surveys, data management, onboarding, and offboarding. Ensure all processes are accurate, compliant, and efficient.
  • Strategic Data & Analytics: Provide strategic insights to People Business Partners and leadership by analyzing key HR data points, such as spans and layers, attrition rates, and demographic trends, to support organizational design and workforce planning.
  • Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to People Business Partners, providing expertise and guidance on compensation decisions, market trends, and organizational changes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure compensation and HR programs are seamlessly integrated with broader business strategies.
  • Communication & Education: In partnership with our communications team, develop and deliver clear and compelling communications to educate employees and managers on compensation programs and policies.
  • Team Leadership: This role has the potential to manage one or two direct reports, guiding their growth and development while delegating tasks to meet team objectives.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience: 6+ years of progressive experience in compensation
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of compensation principles, market analysis, and program design. Proficiency with compensation management software and advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to translate complex business objectives into effective compensation strategies.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with senior leaders, cross-functional partners, and employees at all levels.
  • Change Management: Experience in designing and implementing compensation plans during periods of significant organizational change.
  • Business Acumen: A solid understanding of business operations and how compensation strategy contributes directly to organizational success.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and able to pivot quickly to address emerging business needs and challenges.

The base salary range for this role is $117,000-140,000 USD.This position also offers a performance bonus dependent on company performance. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
