We are looking for an experienced, driven and energetic Workday Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our People Technology team to be the functional lead and technical SME supporting our global Time, Absence, Payroll and HCM Core configurations in Workday. This role will partner with the People Operations team to deliver high quality projects within our Workday environment as well as other People technologies and processes. This role will report to People Technology Lead.
What you'll do
- Prototype, design, configure, maintain, test and launch clean & thoughtful updates in Workday application with a focus on US & Global Payroll, Time, Absence, Benefits, and Compensation
- Bring a smart-automation first mindset and your experience in Workday reporting, configuration, and integration to improve and expand our implementation of Workday
- Strategically partner with payroll, benefits, and compensation teams to recommend, document, prioritize and deliver new initiatives in support of the organization's strategic objectives
- Design and execute test plans for new functionality in partnership with business users
- Provide technical assistance & solutions in support of annual People programs & initiatives like Open Enrollment and Payroll Year End
- Proactively champion data integrity, appropriate testing of system changes, and analyzing data flows to uncover process improvement opportunities
- Assist in the development of user procedures, guidelines, and documentation for Workday and related systems, and train users on new processes/functionality
- Assist with SOX/ITGC controls and documentation in relation to the release, testing and implementation of any new functionality, or changes to current Workday configuration
- Participate in the bi-annual Workday release cycle by completing research into functionality changes and feature releases
- Be the go-to expert for assigned functional areas, and assist subject matter experts by translating business needs to appropriate technical solutions

What you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, HR Administration or other related field or equivalent experience or equivalent experience
- 5+ years hands on experience with Workday functional configuration for Workday Time Tracking, Absence, and Payroll Modules in US and EMEA
- 2-3 years experience partnering with a global Third Party Payroll provider
- Experience with Enterprise Integration Builder (EIB), Calculated Fields, and Report Writer
- Experience building and operating in a best-in-class, integrated SaaS environment (i.e. Workato, Greenhouse, Atlassian, Culture Amp, Adaptive Insights)
- Understanding of people and payroll processes and experience with HR data
- Experience working in a SOX/ITGC compliant environment
- Workday certification in one or multiple modules such as Time Tracking & Absence, Payroll (US), HCM Core, Compensation or Benefits preferred but not required
- A passion for designing, implementing and improving tools and processes and proactive tendencies
- Architect skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple People Team functions to proactively implement solutions—not just resolve tickets
- Comfort with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with multiple high, and potentially shifting priorities
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast growing global organization that uses Workday Time, Absence, and Payroll
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to drive outcomes across all levels of the organization

The salary range for this role is $105,000-$160,000. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
