As the Business Operations & Performance Manager, sitting on the Strategic Finance sub-team, you will be a trusted leader who has direct access to leaders across the business and influence on our long-range financial plan. You'll report to our Sr. Manager, Commercial Performance and will be responsible for reporting, analyzing, forecasting & surfacing optimization opportunities across SeatGeek’s commercial verticals, including Entertainment, Integrated Sport and Non-Integrated Sport. Your coverage of commercial verticals will span the life cycle of our partnerships, including rigorous financial modeling of new business and client renewal opportunities, KPI target setting and tracking, and analyzing financial performance. You will be looked to by the organization as someone with expert understanding of the key performance drivers across our commercial verticals.
This individual must possess the ability to carry-out and translate complex quantitative analysis into actionable business insights. You are a humble leader with strong communication skills that catalyze internal and external projects & initiatives.
What you'll do
- Lead weekly performance reporting and twice yearly forecasting across our commercial verticals
- Closely support functional stakeholders in initiatives that drive growth or margin across our commercial verticals
- Leverage financial acumen across commercial verticals to proactively identify opportunities or risks to our forecast & plans
- Work alongside functional stakeholders on key partnership milestones within the lifecycle of our commercial verticals (New Business, Inventory & Pricing, Renewals) and ensure alignment with our long-term financial & strategic aspirations
- Help grow the BizOps department by attracting and recruiting outstanding talent
- Lead semi-annual long term planning & budgeting for specific commercial verticals
- Lead ad hoc analysis for our Board & Investor Relations function
- Drive collaboration, understanding and clear accountability on financial performance across all teams at SeatGeek, often working with the Analytics, Data Science, People & Office of the CEO teams in service of this goal
What you have
- Ability to work at least 2-4 days a week in the NYC office
- 6+ years of relevant experience, with 4+ years of business operations and/or strategic finance, investment banking / private equity experience preferred
- Strong understanding of finance and mastery of Excel and/or Google Sheets; ability to roll up your sleeves on analytical work
- Experience pulling insights out of large data sets, preferably using BI visualization tools or SQL, R or Python
- Proven track record of using data to drive business decisions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize strategic insights in an actionable and compelling manner
- Ability to work well with other personalities - you’re a low ego team player
- A “Builder” mentality that gets things done through exceptional collaboration
- Self-motivation with tenacity to handle multiple competing priorities - you’re always looking for ways to reduce ambiguity
- Critical thinking skills; ask great questions, but also provide solutions
- Comfortable operating with speed > perfection

The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $160,000. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
