The impact you will have:
As a FP&A Manager at Sonar, you will play a critical role in overseeing various aspects within corporate finance, including long-range planning, and business analytics. You will act as a strategic business partner to leaders from several parts of the organization, providing actionable financial insights that inform key decisions.
You will lead financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting processes, ensuring data-driven resource allocation and investment in innovation. Your responsibilities will include reporting, consolidation, preparing investor reports and board decks, clearly communicating financial performance and business drivers to stakeholders. You will also enhance FP&A processes, leveraging automation and best practices to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
What You Will Do Daily:
- Manage the long range planning processes for corporate finance including supported business partners, working cross-functionally to support financial targets
- Monitor performance against the plan, and recommending actions to align to the plan
- Actively manage monthly financial forecasting processes, ensuring forecast accuracy, and contributing to accurate topline and cash flow forecasts
- Identify root causes of variances, developing remediation plans, while managing financial risks
- Lead strategic analyses to provide insights to drive company performance and scaling
- Build detailed financial models across various lines of the P&L
- Build BOD, Investor, Executive-ready presentations, succinctly delivering key messages, and providing in-depth supporting details
- Drive cross-functional alignment with controllership, finance ops, and accounting to ensure data integrity and financial reporting accuracy
- Drive various business analytics buildouts, including digital transformation initiatives as we drive to enhance efficiency, automation, and data-driven capabilities within FP&A
The Experience You Will Need:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA is preferred
- 7+ years of experience in finance roles, preferably within a high-growth SaaS company
- Investment banking experience is preferred
- Expertise across various FP&A type work: corporate finance and strategic finance
- Expert Financial modeling skills, with ability to effectively communicate drivers, insights, and recommendations to executives
- Experience with planning software; experience with Netsuite, Bamboo is a plus
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills, particularly as we interface heavily with business partners
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly evolving environment
