About the Job
Vendasta’s Marketplace is the engine that powers our platform’s breadth and depth, enabling channel partners to offer a comprehensive suite of digital solutions to their SMB clients. As Manager of Marketplace Operations, you will be responsible for executing scalable, repeatable, and automated systems and standards that ensure Marketplace growth and operational excellence.
You will oversee the full lifecycle of third-party vendors, from onboarding and integration to launch and post-launch support. This includes facilitating vendor discovery and contract negotiation, ensuring seamless technical integration (APIs, provisioning, SSO), and owning the process through go-live—managing internal billing and product activation workflows, coordinating team enablement, and driving cross-functional collaboration.
This role also leads ongoing vendor relationship management—including SKU and pricing updates, technical issue triage, and vendor communication support—as well as managing promotions and internal campaigns in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Product. You will also help maintain and update the Vendasta Marketplace infrastructure through AI-powered automations, performance monitoring, SKU architecture, and process improvement projects aimed at improving vendor discoverability, platform health, and operational throughput.
Your Impact
As Manager of Marketplace Operations, you’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Partner Success, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure the seamless delivery of Marketplace services and scale key operational workflows. Your impact will be felt in the following ways:
- End-to-End Vendor Lifecycle Execution
- Lead discovery, contract negotiation, and onboarding coordination with Finance, C-Suite, and Engineering.
- Ensure technical integration (e.g., API, SSO, provisioning) is scoped and delivered to internal standards.
- Manage vendor go-live execution including internal training, Marketplace publishing, billing setup, and tracking.
- Vendor Relationship & Product Support
- Act as operational liaison for vendor updates—pricing, packaging, SKU retirements and revamps.
- Coordinate product re-launches and transitions, including cross-functional communication and support ticket triage.
- Maintain vendor documentation and audit support processes for consistency and scale.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align with Sales, Marketing, Product, Support, and Finance teams to deliver timely and high-quality vendor activations.
- Partner with Marketing for GTM asset creation (e.g., vendor webinars, newsletters, carousel placement).
- Coordinate spiff and promotional campaign setup and ensure internal enablement and capacity alignment.
- Vendor Success & Performance Monitoring
- Track and report on KPIs including onboarding velocity, vendor NPS, ticket resolution time, and integration quality.
- Maintain and improve internal documentation, SOPs, and resource materials for vendor-facing teams.
- Identify bottlenecks and introduce scalable solutions to reduce manual effort and enable faster go-to-market.
- Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Drive operational projects to simplify user experience, improve discoverability, and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks using AI and internal tools.
What You Bring to the Table
You are a strategic operator with a passion for optimizing systems, building scalable workflows, and ensuring cross-functional alignment. With at least 4 years of experience in operations, partner onboarding, or program management—ideally in a SaaS, marketplace, or platform context—you bring proven success in managing complex projects and external relationships. You have a deep understanding of vendor onboarding workflows, pricing structures, and contract execution, and can confidently lead cross-functional initiatives that require coordination with Engineering, Product, and Legal. You are familiar with APIs, SSO, and provisioning concepts, and are comfortable troubleshooting technical vendor issues. You thrive in ambiguity, communicate with clarity, and excel in environments where structure and scale need to be built. You’re proficient in Salesforce, JIRA, Confluence, and documentation tools, and have an eye for automation opportunities that remove repetitive work. Experience working in white-label marketplaces (e.g., Shopify Apps, AppExchange) or partner ecosystems is a strong asset. You're also energized by emerging AI tools that reduce manual overhead, support faster decision-making, and enhance operational visibility.
