We’re proud to share that Vendasta has officially been named one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures for 2025!
About the Job
We’re looking for a Account Manager I who is energized by building profitable, long-term relationships with Channel Partners by providing outstanding onboarding, education, and strategic support and excited to contribute to AI-powered features that enhance our platform. In this role, you’ll play a key part in helping small and medium-sized businesses succeed—while shaping the future of AI for local economies.
Your Impact
As a Account Manager I, you'll work with engineering teams, QA, and product managers to:
- Manage a portfolio of agency partners—many of them newly signed—and guide them through Go To Market strategy, product expansion, and long term platform fit
- Use team-developed prompts and tools to streamline training, prepare for calls, and surface insights
- Focus on execution, consistency, and coachability, while helping partners discover how Vendasta’s owned-and-operated and third-party marketplace solutions can unlock value for their clients and grow recurring revenue
- Develop and execute partners Go To Market plan to establish initial use case in the platform
- Own the partner success plan in the first 90 days
- Educate partners of new products/features/services that align with their business model
- Conduct regular check-ins to understand each partner’s business model, goals, and opportunities for expansion
- Propose strategic actions (bundling, re-packaging, upsell tactics) aligned with vertical use cases or customer segments
- Use CRM dashboards and AI-generated usage alerts to flag underperformance, churn risks, or cross-sell potential
- Act as a trusted advisor, relaying insights from other successful partners and creating feedback loops with Enablement and Product
- Monitor partner metrics like activation, retention, revenue growth, and margin trends
- Identify and support upsell or cross-sell conversations based on marketplace interest, platform usage, and AI-enriched engagement signals
- Collaborate with Product, Support, and Success to deliver seamless partner experiences and resolve escalations promptly
What You Bring to the Table
- Minimum 4 years sales experience with a track record of achieving a quota of $1.5M+, demonstrating year-over-year growth, managing a diverse client base, and effectively balancing new vs. expansion sales and lead generation (MQL vs. self-generated)
- Deep understanding of industry trends and best practices in channel partner management
- Familiarity with strategies to ensure continuous education and engagement of partners
- Proficiency in delivering detailed product demos and training sessions
- Familiar with AI co-pilots, lead scoring tools, and prompt-based workflows (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini summaries)
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic insights and recommendations
- Skilled in creating feedback loops to gather partner input and improve their experience continuously
- Focused on achieving revenue and margin growth quotas through strategic partner management
- Ability to provide examples and references of strong customer relationships, including NPS scores and insights into interactions with both SMB and Enterprise-level clients, highlighting the depth of these relationships
- Skilled in using CRM tools and Google Docs, with certifications in Adwords and Meta, and proficiency in LinkedIn, showcasing a robust tech stack understanding essential for modern sales processes
- Experience with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Sandler, SNAP, or others
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business majors preferred)
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal formats.
