As a Software Engineer joining the WHOOP Business Systems team, you will develop the core infrastructure and integrations responsible for order fulfillment and tools to help the business operate around the world. You will work closely with our shipping logistics providers and technology in our warehouses around the world to ensure our integrations are scalable, maintainable, and adaptive to the global market. This role requires a strong knowledge of backend architecture and API design.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help execute WHOOP's vision to build/scale our business logistics world wide
- Contribute to backend development: Java, AWS and Postgres
- Contribute to new feature ideation, planning, and development
- Translate feature requirements into actionable tasks with risks identified
- Interface with critical business systems: Netsuite, Salesforce, Stripe, Boomi, and more.
- Work collaboratively in a high growth environment with a product minded approach
- Consistently deliver features and code with an iterative approach
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with object-oriented languages and design such as Java
- Experience writing APIs and interacting with relational databases (Postgres)
- Knowledge of database query language such as SQL
- Experience working with cloud providers such as AWS is beneficial
- Experience writing tests and documenting code for a variety of audiences
- An innate passion for approaching large-scale problems through small, data-informed, and experiment-driven iterations
- You thrive in a fast-paced and data-driven environment
- Willingness to be both a team player and an owner

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
