About WHOOP
At WHOOP, we’re on a mission to unlock human performance and healthspan. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives, delivering personalized insights that drive meaningful behavior change. As WHOOP continues to scale globally, building a distinctive, culturally relevant social presence is critical to driving engagement, retention, and long-term growth.

About the Role

WHOOP is hiring a Lead, Content Partnerships to be the connective tissue between our talent ecosystem and content engine. This role owns the execution of partner and ambassador programming — from creative briefing through performance reporting — while driving cross-functional alignment across the teams that bring it to life.

Responsibilities

  • Partner Content Strategy & Execution:

  • Own content strategy and execution for talent and brand ambassador partnerships, ensuring activations ladder up to campaign priorities and WHOOP's broader brand goals.

  • Draw on deep sport cultural fluency to inform how WHOOP activates partners, accounting for sport nuances and community differences to ensure activations feel earned, relevant, and distinctly WHOOP.

  • Drive content calendars for key talent partnerships, maintaining alignment between partner deliverables, evergreen programming, and campaign workstreams.

  • Define and evolve scalable content formats and franchises built around partner storytelling, setting the bar for how WHOOP shows up through talent.

  • Translate brand priorities and audience insights into sharp content strategies and briefs that push creative quality and platform performance.

  • Creative Development & Briefing:

  • Own the creative briefing process for partner, campaign, and evergreen content — ensuring every brief is strategically grounded and creatively ambitious.

  • Bring platform-native expertise to brainstorms and campaign kickoffs, ensuring talent and ambassador creative is grounded in what works on social.

  • Manage the planning, coordination, and delivery of activations from concept through execution.

  • Activation Management:

  • Support the management of external partners who help bring our vision to life, acting as the internal air traffic controller across strategy, creative, and execution to ensure output is on brand, on time, and aligned to business goals.

  • Stay ahead of cultural trends, platform shifts, and creator landscape changes to proactively surface on-brand content opportunities.

  • Performance & Insights:

  • Own performance reporting for ambassador and partnership content, building frameworks to measure impact and inform future strategy.

  • Translate data into clear recommendations that improve creative and strategic output across partner and evergreen programming.

  • Contribute to monthly reporting and support the Senior Manager of Content Partnerships in developing strategic recommendations for leadership.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary point of coordination between Sports & Talent, Creative, Paid Media, Brand, and Community — ensuring partner activations are executed seamlessly, to their full potential, and in lockstep with broader marketing objectives.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in social media, content, or partnerships — with a clear track record of owning execution across complex, multi-stakeholder programs.

  • Deep fluency in the sports landscape, including an understanding of sport nuances, community differences, and cultural dynamics.

  • Deep familiarity with the creator and talent ecosystem — including how ambassador relationships, content deliverables, and activation timelines work in practice.

  • Demonstrated experience managing and working with external vendors and partners, with the ability to direct workflow across strategy, creative, and execution.

  • Strong creative instincts and briefing skills, with the ability to translate strategy into compelling, platform-native content.

  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment across multiple teams without formal authority.

  • Experience building and interpreting performance reporting, with a data-informed approach to optimizing content strategy.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
