LOCATION Infleqtion has 6 office locations, operating out of Austin, TX; Boulder, CO; Louisville, CO; Madison, WI; Chicago, IL; and London, UK. This position is a full-time, located in our Louisville, CO office. Position SummaryCold Quanta, Inc. dba Infleqtion, is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, reconciling general ledger accounts, resolving account discrepancies, and verifying account transactions. The newly hired accountant will report directly to our Global Corporate Controller and will have public accounting experience and an active CPA. Job ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities outlined below include essential functions of the role. Depending on business needs, this role may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Prepare accounting reconciliations for general ledger accounts
  • Assist with foreign currency translation of the UK entity accounting package, coordination with external third party to prepare the Australian entity accounting package and prepare consolidating entries
  • Maintain fixed assets subledger and record monthly activity related to asset purchases and depreciation
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, analysis and report on variances
  • Assist in preparation of schedules to support the annual audit and tax return
  • Perform testing on applicable modules during the implementation of a new ERP system (final demos in September
Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar degree program
  • Active CPA license
  • Professional level understanding of accounting theory
  • A minimum of 3+ years of hands on and progressive accounting experience in a public company
  • Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports
  • Highly detail oriented with an organized end work product
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new and complex topics quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with all levels of an organization; Professional-level communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work comfortably in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, and team-oriented environment
  • Desire and demonstrated ability to thrive and produce results in a fluid, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
  • Passion for solving complex problems and challenges in a highly technical and scientific environment
  • Proficient in MS Office; Experience with ERP systems is highly preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically and (potentially) internationally up to 10%
