Location

This position is a full-time, in-office position and is based in our Oxford, United Kingdom office.

Job Summary

Infleqtion UK is looking for an IT Service Desk Technician who will provide Tier 1 technical support, including, but not limited to: new user onboarding and offboarding tasks, computer imaging, troubleshooting basic hardware, software, and networking issues. The new technician will prioritize customer satisfaction and escalate to Tier 2/3 support as needed.

Job Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities outlined below include essential functions of the role. Depending on business needs, this role may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties.   • Evaluate incoming IT support tickets in the form of Service Requests and Incidents
  • Promptly respond to issues via the ticketing system, emails, instant message chats, phone calls, and/or in-person interactions where appropriate
  • Onboard/Offboard employees
  • Setup new computers and users across various platforms
  • Investigate, research, and solve hardware, software, and network issues
  • Perform both on-site and remote troubleshooting tasks with end users
  • Accurately record details of work performed as it is completed
  • Review and contribute to internal documentation and knowledgebases
  • Seek out improvements in the IT environment and make appropriate recommendations
  • Report updates to key stakeholders and ask for help or guidance when needed
  • Participate in assigned projects
  • Continually seek out and learn new technical skills

Requirements

  • College coursework or technical training required, IT certifications (CompTIA A+, or similar) desired
  • 0-2 years of experience in Desktop Support, Information Technology, and/or Help Desk
  • Familiarity with ITIL concepts
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Customer and solutions-oriented focus and drive
  • Professional level verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional level interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Professional level organizational skills and high attention to detail; great listening skills
  • Professional level time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, fluid, and dynamic environment
  • Professional level analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, go-getter attitude, excellent work ethic, team player
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to escalate them when appropriate
  • Demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts to varying levels of end-users
  • Good collaboration skills, able to work in a team environment where engagement and participation are an expected part of successful job performance
  • Loves to learn and find areas where they can bring improvements to the organization
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
