Location

This position is a full-time, office-based position which will be located in our Boulder, Colorado office.

Position Summary

Infleqtion is seeking an exceptional and experienced Manufacturing Engineer responsible for maintaining the design and customizing Quantum Components as well as the generation and implementation of documents and specifications to be used by manufacturing to meet customer needs. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing and Quality.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the product and process design for Quantum Components
  • Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including design specifications, engineering drawings, test reports, and technical manuals
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to design and introduce new products using the Product Lifecycle Management (PLC) system
  • Collaborate with Product Management to coordinate the technical customization of offered products
  • Conduct and/or coordinate failure analysis to identify root causes of product failures and work towards effective resolutions to enhance product reliability
  • Customer technical point of contact addressing product-related inquiries, issues, issues and concerns
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, ensuring smooth product design transitions into the manufacturing process
  • Monitor product performance and implement design modifications and process enhancements to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or similar technical field
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing or Product Engineer, demonstrating expertise in failure analysis, product design, and customer support
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools
  • Professional level and working knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively share information with technical and non-technical staff
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new and complex topics quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with all levels of an organization; Professional-level communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work comfortably in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, team-oriented, and matrixed environment
  • Desire and demonstrated ability to thrive and produce results in a fluid, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
  • Organized and self-directed; Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Resourceful problem-solver who collaboratively identifies effective paths forward with demonstrated expertise in executing productization efforts
  • Passion for solving complex problems and challenges in a highly technical and scientific environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and (potentially) internationally up to 10%
  • This role requires that you do not require sponsorship or a work visa transfer

This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Please note that any offer for employment may be conditioned on authorization to receive software or technology controlled under these U.S. export control laws and regulations without sponsorship for an export license.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field
  • Experience with Altium and COMSOL software preferred
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
  • Experience with Opto-Mechanical assembly processes preferred

Benefits

The targeted base salary for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 on an annualized basis plus commissions.
