Location

This position is a full-time, hybrid position and is based in our Oxford, United Kingdom office.

Job Summary

As part of our strategy for growth at Infleqtion UK, we are expanding our engineering team and recruiting a DevOps Engineer.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will bring a mix of technical skills, problem-solving ability and effective communication, playing a pivotal role in operational reliability and code velocity for our quantum research and device development. This position demands a high level of autonomy, leading high-value projects with hands-on experience, where you will provide visionary initiatives and contribute to the long-term roadmap. You will use your skills to enhance and extend automated testing and infrastructure systems and tackle the unique challenges of testing and maintaining real-time software, hardware, and numerical analysis libraries.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, improve, and integrate code testing pipelines
  • Create, maintain, and execute system and code deployment processes
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Maintain basic access controls
  • Solve complex problems and make sound design recommendations
  • Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting and diagnosing design quality problems

Requirements

Technical Knowledge

  • Understanding of networking and storage technologies
  • Proficiency with at least one automation framework such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform
  • Proficiency with Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with git and version control-centric workflows

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or other related field
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in DevOps
  • Experience with a deployment and configuration management framework e.g. Ansible
  • Comfortable in at least one scripting language e.g. Python, Bash, etc
  • Professional-level verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively share information with technical and non-technical staff
  • Good collaboration skills, able to work in a team environment where engagement and participation are an expected part of successful job performance
