Infleqtion UK is seeking a talented and experienced Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team, where you will play a pivotal role in transforming hardware prototypes into manufacturable and scalable products. The newly hired engineer will collaborate closely with a diverse team of technical experts, hardware and software engineers, and physicists to ensure the seamless integration of complex systems, and within our product lifecycle process.

Infleqtion UK is seeking a talented and experienced Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team, where you will play a pivotal role in transforming hardware prototypes into manufacturable and scalable products. The newly hired engineer will collaborate closely with a diverse team of technical experts, hardware and software engineers, and physicists to ensure the seamless integration of complex systems, and within our product lifecycle process.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead product development systems engineering efforts, including:
- Take ownership of system-level design for cutting-edge quantum physics hardware
- Capture system level requirements and flow-downs in accordance with product strategies and objectives
- Development of overall system architecture, (with support from Physicists, and other engineers)
- Creation of core systems engineering documentation including Product Requirement Documents, System Requirements Documents, subsystem and lower-level requirements specifications, Interface Control Documents, HWCI/SWCI documents, etc
- Definition and execution of modelling, simulation, and analytical efforts required to successfully enable product design and verification and validation processes and long-term product lifecycle objectives
- Development of product Assembly, Integration & Test processes and procedures and engineering support to AI&T activities
- Development of product Verification and Validation test processes and procedures and engineering support to V&V test activities
- Coordination of traceability from requirements to test processes across the product architecture
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in systems engineering, preferably within the quantum physics or high-tech hardware sector
- Experience in advanced technologies and high technology products, especially products that include a combination of mechanical, electrical, RF, optics, and software
- Experience with productization and Product Life Cycle processes
- Excellent technical documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 3 days per week on-site in Oxfordshire office (or as job requires)
- Possible occasional travel to USA
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management processes
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and experience with SysML and MBSE tools (e.g. Cameo)
