POSITION SUMMARY

The position calls for someone who can maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Working individually and as part of a team, extended standing, and some heavy lifting of 50 lbs or more may be expected. Maintaining a positive, helpful attitude is imperative in this position. Flexibility and a willingness to help in any way possible are needed in our small, dynamic team environment.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Technician - Level III, you will be TPC’s equivalent to a Master Technician and have the opportunity to work on the highest quality of bikes across all years, makes, and models. At TPC, you enjoy the workload of a bike shop with the pace of a startup, fostering a unique culture of empowerment. You are part of a proactive team environment that takes a “continuous improvement” approach to everything we do and plays a role in disrupting the bike industry.

This is a seasonal position, with two shift schedule options:

1. Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm

2. Tuesday-Friday, 7:00 am-5:30 pm

Employee preferences will be taken into consideration when determining the schedule, but business needs may dictate which shift is worked. Employees will not be required to flex between different shifts.

The seasonal role is expected to end in mid-October, but may be extended based on business needs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Servicing bicycles following prescribed service, writing tickets, duties include, but not limited to, advanced technical skills of component replacement, brake bleeds, and bearing installation.

• Maintaining standards of the processing line, including SOPs, quality control, and station standardization

• Daily maintenance and upkeep of standardized work stations including technicians’ benches, shared work surfaces, and consumables

• Removes waste from processes and participates in a culture of continuous improvement

ABOUT YOU

• 3 - 5 years of professional bicycle mechanic experience

• A strong knowledge of bikes frames, wheels and components across different years, makes and models.

• Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail

• Must be comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment

• A positive and professional attitude and a consistent work ethic, must be self-motivated and work well alone as well as on a team in a shop/warehouse and office atmosphere

• A passion for success, a positive and friendly attitude, and a consistent work ethic are all a must

• Enthusiastic about the outdoor/cycling industry, the people it attracts, and all the gear!

• Must be physically capable of bending, squatting, repetitive hand and wrist movements, including twisting and lifting 50 lbs. Also must have stamina to stand 8 hrs./day
